How-to Spa FAQ's

  • Who will help me decide how to choose my treatments?

Each Palace Resort has trained specialists who will help you select the best treatments for you.

  • What treatments are we entitled to for free as part of our package using one of your weeks?

 Each adult is entitled to a manicure, pedicure, and 25 minute back massage.  (a $200 value for two people).  The services are transferable between members in the party. For example, if someone doesn't want a massage, someone else in the group can enjoy it."

  • What if I have special health conditions?      

Please notify a Spa Specialist before scheduling your appointments. All Spa guests will be asked to complete a brief medical questionnaire upon check-in.

  • May I request a male or female therapist?

Yes, of course.  You are asked when you schedule the appointments if you have a preference.

  • What do I wear during my treatment?

Wear what is comfortable for you. The staff will sometimes provide you with undergarments for the Body treatments.

  • What about my jewelry and valuables?

Please leave all valuables in your room’s safety deposit box. The Spa is not responsible for lost or forgotten valuables. If you forgot to take off your watch or ring, please place it inside your bathrobe pocket.

  • What if I’m late for my appointment?

Arriving late will limit the time for your treatment. You will be asked to sign a service waiver where you agree to take the remaining time of the service. Depending on the length of your service a late arrival may be classified as a No Show.

  • How early do I need to check in for my scheduled appointment?

Early is always better. If your service is scheduled at the outdoor palapas you need to arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. At the Beauty Salon, we recommend check-in 10 min prior to your service. At the Central Spa, you need to check-in 30 min. at the first level treatment and hydrotherapy reception. This will allow you enough time to check-in, get your locker assignment, change comfortably into your robe, and relax for 5 min. at the Spa lounge before your spa treatment begins. Arrive 60 min. prior to your first treatment and enjoy our luxurious hydrotherapy facilities with whirlpools, cold plunge, sauna steam, Swiss shower and foot whirlpools.

  • What precautions do I need to know?

We recommend eating and drinking in moderation and avoid alcoholic beverages prior to your spa service, exercise classes, whirlpools, and heat treatments. Do not shave your legs prior to a body scrub treatment. A bad sunburn may prevent you from enjoying a spa treatment but there is one for sunburn if you need it). Be conscientious and use good sun protection.

  • What about gratuities?

Gratuities are included with the all-inclusive program.  Additional gratuities are optional and appreciated for exceptional service.

  • What about payment for spa services?

You are able to charge spa services to your room account or to most major credit cards. When scheduling appointments from other Palace Resorts or buying additional services at the Spa, guests must pay in cash or with an accepted credit card.

  • What is their cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made by 5:00p.m. the day prior to your scheduled appointment. There is no reimbursement, and rescheduled treatments are based on availability.

  • What if I forget to show up for my appointment?

Please don’t forget!!! No Shows are not reimbursed and may be rescheduled based on availability. In the case of illness a medical waiver is required.
